Initial Setup and Configuration
In this guide, we'll be setting up Radarr for the first time. We'll be doing the following:
- Creating a folder and point Radarr to it
- Enabling Automatic Organization
- Setting up preferred profiles
- Adding indexers and download clients
For clients who have existing libraries, there will be sections in this guide for Radarr to point and integrate it to Radarr.
Initial Setup
Creating a Root Folder
- Login to your slot via SSH or your FTP client
- Create a folder. This is where you'll point Radarr as a destination folder for Movies.
- In this example, we have some folders named Entertainment and under it, we have a folder named Movies. This is where Radarr will save downloaded releases
###Example Folder Structure###
Entertainment/
/Movies < This is where you'll point your Radarr
/TV
/Music
Adding Root Folder and Enabling Automatic Organization
- Access and login to your Radarr instance using the credentials you set during Installation
- Click Add Movie
- Then on this screen, click Bulk Import Movies
- Then, a folder selection window appears. Click the folder Icon
- This will open the file explorer screen.
- Now, we will navigate to the folder you created earlier. First, we will navigate to the seedbox slot you're in. Select homexx folder (where xx represents the disk that your seedbox is in). In the example below, my slot is in home1.
- Then select the only folder in it, which is your slot. In this case, it would be usbdocs
- Now, go to Settings
- Make sure that advanced settings is set to Shown
- Toggle Rename movies to Yes.
- You can leave the rest of the options as-is. The defaults work well with Plex's naming scheme.
- Make sure that Use hardlinks instead of copy is set to yes.
- If your root folder is located on a mount (eg rclone mount), you should set this to No.
- After changing, save it by clicking Save.
Selecting your Preferred Profile
Adding Indexers
- Here, we will add our first indexer. In this example, we will be add a Jackett Indexer
