Initial Setup and Configuration
In this guide, we will be going into detail on installing, configuring and using Lidarr, the installation is almost all point and click so it should only take around 20 minutes of your time.
Prerequisites:
- A seed-box from UltraSeedbox
- Lidarr installed in the CustomerCP
- Deluge or rTorrent configured (and installed in the CustomerCP)
- Label plugin (if using Deluge)
Authentication
First things first, Authentication. This is important because you wouldn't want your crush knowing you listen to the latest Ariana Grande album. To do this, simplyjust clickgo settings,to Settings, then go to general,General, and change the dropdown that says Authentication to Forms (Login Page). Then, set your login in the username and password fields. It is recommended that you do not reuse passwords for any of our services.
Once changed, it will prompt you to restart the UI, click Yes.
Configure a Download Client
To add a Download Client, go to Settings > Download Clients
Click the plus icon at the top, and pick your Download client, in this case, we will be choosing Deluge.
Hit Deluge, and it will show a screen like this.
Yellow,For is personal,IP, you can change that to whatever you likeDark Blue doesn't need to be changedLight Blue are things you can find in your Show Info button inuse the CP.IP on your UCP (Passwordxxx-xxx-xxx-xxx)
For isport, go to the passwordDeluge show more and use the WebUI port there
For password, use the password, use the one you set when you installed Deluge).
Deluge.
Once you have populated all the fields, hit Test. If it gives you a tick, then press Save. If it has a red cross, go back and check your answers, it is possible something is wrong. For example, make sure you use the WebUI port and not the Daemon port (for Deluge).
Add a Root Folder
This is a very simple, but important thing to do. This tells Lidarr where to store your downloaded music.
First, head to Settings and then Media Management.
Then click Add Root Folder
Go to /home24/yourusername/media/Music then click Ok.
It should now show a new Root Folder (orange is where your free space is).
Add an Indexer
This is the most important step here, without an Indexer, you're Lidarr installation wouldn't do anything except collect dust.
Head to Settings and click Indexers.
Like before, click the big plus button.
In this guide, we're going to use Rarbg, as it has no authentication necessary. If you choose to use another, be prepared as you will need credentials (login/api key).
Pick a name if you choose, click Test, and it should return a green tick, if so, click Save. If it returns a red cross, either you've changed something, or Rarbg is down.
Add an artist
One of the coolest features (and the main use) is being able to select specific artists to download, and not just downloading the Top 100 on TPB with 10 European artists you really don't want or know about.
Simply search the artist and click the correct one.
It is recommended to add a secondary path with the artists name to help Plex identify the artist. Make sure you have Album Folder ticked as this will allow Plex to identify the correct artist. When you are sure everything is correct, click the green button that says Add artistname.
Music will eventually start to download.
