Initial Setup and Configuration

In this guide, we will be going into detail on installing, configuring and using Lidarr,Lidarr. The following are the installationsteps isthat almostwe allwill pointdo:

    - Deluge or rTorrent configured (and installed in the CustomerCP)
    - Label plugin (if using Deluge)

     


Initial Setup

Setting Up Authentication

First

    things first, Authentication. To do this, just go
  • Go to Settings,Settings then-> go to General,General, and change the dropdown that says Authentication to Forms (Login Page).
  • Then, set
  • Set your login in the username and password fields.
    • It is recommended that you do not reuse passwords for any of our services.

Once changed, it will prompt you to restart the UI, click Yes.Yes.


Configure a Download Client

  • To add a Download Client, go to Settings -> Download Clients

  • Click the plus icon at the top, and pick your Download client,client

this case, we will be choosing Deluge.

    Hit Deluge, and it will show a screen like this.

    For IP, you need to use the IP on your UCP (xxx-xxx-xxx-xxx)
    For port, go

  • Refer to the Delugefollowing showlink morebelow andto use the WebUI port there
    For password, use the password, use the one you set when you installed Deluge.

    Once you have populated all the fields, hit Test. If it gives you a tick, then press Save. If it has a red cross, go back and checkadd your answers,preferred itdownload isclient.

Add a Root Folder

This

    is a very simple, but important thing to do. This tells Lidarr where to store your downloaded music.
  • First, head to Settings and then Media Management.Management.

  • Then click Add Root Folder

  • Go to /home24/yourusernamehomexx/{username}/media/Music then click Ok.Ok.

  • It should now show a new Root Folder
  • (orange is where your free space is).


Add an Indexer

  • Now click the mostIndexers importanttab

    Head to Settings and click Indexers.

    Like before, clickclicking the big plus button.button and input what is asked on each indexer you wish.

    • Depending on the indexer, it'll ask for your account credentials or a passkey. Refer to your indexer/tracker for more information on what to put.

  • Once guide,that's we're going to use Rarbg, as it has no authentication necessary. If you choose to use another, be prepared as you will need credentials (login/api key).

    Pick a name if you choose,done, click Test,save andchanges.

Add an Artist

  • To add an artist, go to Artists -> Add New
  • Then click Add New Artist

One of the coolest features (and the main use) is being able to select specific artists to download, and not just downloading the Top 100 on TPB with 10 European artists you really don't want or know about.

  • This page will be shown. Simply search the artist and click the correct one.

  • Once
  • Once that's done, you have Album Folder ticked as this will allow Plex to identify the correct artist. When you are sure everything is correct,can click the green button thatto saysadd Add artistname.


    Music will eventually startit to download.
