Unpackerr
This guide explains what Unpackerr does, how to install it on your Ultra service, and how it automatically extracts archived downloads for Radarr, Sonarr, Lidarr, and Readarr.
- Unpackerr runs as a daemon on your service to automatically extract archived download queue items in Radarr, Sonarr, Lidarr, and Readarr.
- It can also automatically extract archives placed in its watch directory.
- It supports the following archive types:
rar,tar,tgz,gz,zip,7z,bz2, andtbz2.

Prerequisites
- To use Unpackerr with Lidarr, Radarr, Readarr, or Sonarr, install these applications and configure their Download Clients and Media Root Folders before you install Unpackerr.
Installation
- Install Unpackerr from the Apps tab of your UCP.
- Unpackerr does not require any configuration after installation. During installation, it automatically detects Radarr, Sonarr, Lidarr, and Readarr and adds their connection details to its configuration.
- If you install Radarr, Sonarr, Lidarr, or Readarr after Unpackerr, or add or change their download clients, run Upgrade & Repair from the Actions menu of Unpackerr in your UCP. This updates the Unpackerr configuration with your latest application and download client settings.
Use Unpackerr
Radarr, Sonarr, Lidarr, and Readarr
- Unpackerr checks the queue of these applications every 2 minutes for completed downloads that are archived and need extraction.
- Unpackerr automatically deletes the extracted files of each processed item 5 minutes after the application imports it.
- These applications check their queue for items that are ready to import every 60 seconds by default. The 5-minute delay gives them enough time to import the extracted files before Unpackerr removes them.
Watch Directory
- Unpackerr creates the following directories during installation:
Watch Directory: /home/your_username/Unpackerr/watch
Extraction Destination: /home/your_username/Unpackerr/extract- Unpackerr automatically detects eligible archives placed in the watch directory and starts extracting them once they have not changed for 1 minute.
- After extraction completes, Unpackerr places the extracted files in the extraction destination directory.
